Human Rights Statement

At Fabspot UK, we believe that respect for human rights is a fundamental value that must be upheld in every aspect of our business operations and partnerships. We are committed to fostering an environment where human rights are protected, promoted, and respected by everyone we work with—including our employees, licensees, and partners.

As a licensor, Fabspot expects all licensees using our platform to adhere to the same high standards. We seek to ensure that the businesses who offer deals through Fabspot operate ethically, with a firm commitment to human rights at the core of their practices.

Our Commitment to Human Rights

Fabspot UK is dedicated to:

  • Supporting and upholding the principles of internationally recognized human rights standards, including those enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  • Protecting the rights of every individual involved in our business, from employees to licensees and their workers, ensuring fair treatment, dignity, and respect.

  • Maintaining an inclusive environment free from discrimination, harassment, or exploitation.

Our Core Human Rights Principles

At Fabspot, we base our human rights approach on the following principles:

  1. Fair Labor Practices: We support fair wages, reasonable working hours, and the right to collective bargaining. We prohibit any form of forced labor, child labor, or exploitation in all business operations.

  2. Equality and Non-Discrimination: We are committed to ensuring that every individual is treated with fairness and dignity, irrespective of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other status. We expect our licensees and partners to adopt the same values.

  3. Safe and Healthy Working Conditions: All individuals who contribute to Fabspot’s operations, including those working for our licensees, deserve a safe and healthy working environment. We ensure that health and safety regulations are upheld and that any violations are addressed swiftly.

  4. Freedom of Association: We respect the right of individuals to organize and participate in unions or similar organizations. Our partners and licensees are expected to recognize and respect these rights as well.

  5. Zero Tolerance for Harassment and Abuse: Fabspot strictly opposes all forms of harassment, abuse, and violence in the workplace. We encourage anyone who encounters such behavior to report it through our Whistleblowing Policy, and we will take immediate action to investigate and resolve these issues.

Our Responsibility as a Licensor

As a platform that connects businesses to customers through Fabcard, we expect our licensees to:

  • Adhere to Human Rights Standards: All businesses operating under a Fabspot license are required to respect and promote human rights, ensuring fair labor practices and ethical treatment of all employees.

  • Treat Workers Fairly: Licensees must offer safe, respectful, and supportive work environments that comply with local labor laws and human rights principles. They must also be committed to eliminating any forms of abuse, harassment, or exploitation in the workplace.

  • Ensure Ethical Supply Chains: Businesses must monitor their supply chains for potential human rights violations, including forced labor or unsafe working conditions. We encourage transparency and accountability throughout their operations.

Employee and Licensee Awareness

Fabspot provides education and resources to employees and licensees to ensure they understand the importance of human rights in their operations. This includes:

  • Training and Awareness Programs: We offer ongoing training to employees and licensees on recognizing and addressing human rights risks, ensuring that everyone is aware of their responsibilities.

  • Clear Reporting Channels: We maintain a transparent and secure process for employees, licensees, and their workers to report any human rights violations. These reports are taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and resolved in a timely manner.

Reporting and Resolving Issues

We recognize that challenges may arise in upholding human rights, especially in industries with high staff turnover or where training gaps exist. If a Fabcard holder experiences an issue with a business related to their rights or treatment, we encourage them to contact Fabspot directly at support@fabspot.co.uk. We will work with both the business and the individual to find a resolution.

Continuous Improvement

Fabspot is committed to continually reviewing and improving our human rights practices to ensure we remain at the forefront of ethical business conduct. We expect the same commitment from our licensees and partners.
