Modern Slavery Statement

At Fabspot UK, we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, and all forms of exploitation have no place within our business operations, licensees, or supply chains. As a licensor of our platform and services, we require all licensees and partners to adhere to our high ethical standards. We are dedicated to upholding the integrity of our operations and expect our licensees and their supply chains to do the same.

This statement is made in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2024 and outlines the steps Fabspot UK takes to prevent modern slavery across our business, including within the operations of our licensees.

Our Business and Structure

Fabspot UK operates as a digital platform that licenses businesses to offer exclusive deals through our Fabcard membership program. Our business spans various sectors, including hospitality, retail, and leisure. While we are primarily a service-based platform, we work closely with licensees in industries where modern slavery risks may be higher, such as hospitality and retail.

Our Commitment

Fabspot UK is fully committed to:

  • Preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation in our business and the operations of our licensees.

  • Conducting business ethically and responsibly, ensuring that all partners and licensees share this commitment.

  • Requiring all licensees to uphold human rights standards and operate free from forced labor and exploitation.

Policies Related to Modern Slavery

Fabspot UK has implemented policies and practices to ensure we and our licensees prevent modern slavery:

  1. Licensing Agreement Requirements: All licensees are contractually required to adhere to Fabspot’s standards regarding ethical behavior, fair labor practices, and the prohibition of modern slavery within their operations and supply chains.

  2. Code of Conduct for Licensees: We provide clear guidelines to all licensees, outlining expectations around ethical labor practices and the need to actively prevent exploitation in their businesses.

  3. Due Diligence and Monitoring: We conduct regular checks and due diligence when onboarding new licensees, ensuring that their operations and supply chains are free from modern slavery risks. Ongoing assessments are conducted to ensure continued compliance.

  4. Whistleblowing Policy: We maintain an open reporting system that allows employees, licensees, and their workers to report concerns regarding unethical practices, including human trafficking or exploitation. All reports will be fully investigated.

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment

As part of our due diligence processes, Fabspot UK takes proactive measures to assess and mitigate the risk of modern slavery within both our own business and those of our licensees. Our actions include:

  • Identifying high-risk sectors and regions, particularly within our licensees' industries.

  • Working with licensees to ensure their business operations and supply chains meet local labor laws and ethical standards.

  • Regularly reviewing and refining our due diligence and monitoring processes to ensure potential risks are addressed swiftly.

Training and Awareness

To support our commitment to preventing modern slavery, Fabspot UK provides ongoing education and training for our employees and licensees. This includes:

  • Training for key internal staff to recognize modern slavery risks in our and our licensees' operations.

  • Licensee Awareness: All licensees receive resources and guidance to ensure they understand and comply with the requirements to prevent forced labor and human trafficking within their operations and supply chains.

Reporting Concerns

If any employee, licensee, or partner has concerns regarding potential cases of modern slavery within Fabspot’s operations or those of a licensee, they are encouraged to report these immediately via our Whistleblowing Policy. We take every report seriously and will investigate promptly, ensuring any concerns are resolved appropriately.

Licensee Responsibilities

As a licensor, we ensure that Fabspot UK’s licensees are fully aware of their responsibilities to operate ethically and prevent modern slavery within their businesses. Licensees are required to:

  • Comply with local labor laws and ensure ethical treatment of all employees.

  • Prevent forced labor, human trafficking, and other forms of exploitation in their operations and supply chains.

  • Address any issues raised by Fabspot UK or through reports from employees or third parties regarding modern slavery.

We acknowledge that staff turnover and training gaps within our licensees' businesses can sometimes lead to misunderstandings about Fabcard usage and related practices. If such instances occur, licensees should contact Fabspot support directly at support@fabspot.co.uk to address the issue. We will work with both the business and the Fabcard holder to resolve the matter.

Looking Ahead

Fabspot UK will continue to review and improve our policies and practices related to modern slavery prevention. We are committed to ensuring our licensees remain compliant with these standards and that our platform is used to support businesses that value ethical labor practices.
